About Us
What began as a love for art evolved into a mission to create hand-painted décor and gifting pieces that go beyond utility: objects that celebrate people, preserve memories, and become part of everyday life.
Kalavrit is a hand-painted, personalised gifting and décor brand built around one simple belief: the objects we keep closest are often the ones that carry a story.
The name Kalavrit comes from two words: Kala (art) and Avrit (surrounded by).
It reflects what I believe in deeply - that your life, your home, and your heart deserve to be surrounded by art. Not just decor - but feeling, memory, meaning. Kalavrit is a piece of my heart, created to find a place in yours.
We create hand-painted pieces that feel like home, that feel like you.
Some businesses begin with a market opportunity. Kalavrit began with a question. “Why do the things we own rarely carry the weight of the moments we never want to forget?”
Founded in Mumbai by Aishwarya Kulkarni, Kalavrit creates hand-painted gifts, keepsakes, and décor pieces inspired by real memories, relationships, and milestones. Her own home is filled with paintings, letters, artwork, and little pieces collected over the years, each connected to a person, a feeling, or a moment she never wanted to forget. Perhaps that is why she found herself drawn to creating pieces that help others preserve their own stories too.
In an increasingly digital and automated world, people continue to crave authenticity, connection, and personal meaning. That belief has shaped the way Kalavrit approaches growth. The goal is to create gifts and décor that feel deeply personal, to create pieces that celebrate stories, relationships, memories, and milestones, and to remind people that the most meaningful purchases are often the ones that make someone feel understood and remembered
In a world where automation is making everything faster, Kalavrit quietly celebrates what still deserves time: a brushstroke that cannot be duplicated, a story that cannot be generated, and a memory that belongs to only one family.
No two people have lived the same life, so their homes shouldn't feel identical either. Every hand-painted creation begins with a conversation.
Sometimes it is about parents celebrating thirty years together, sometimes it is a couple remembering the place where they first met, sometimes it is a child, a beloved pet, or someone wanting to preserve a cherished memory of a loved one.
